Avspot is a platform created for aircraft enthusiasts and planespotters to discover spotting locations, explore aviation information and make the most of their time spotting aircraft.
I created Avspot because finding good spotting locations can often involve a lot of searching, local knowledge and trial and error. The aim of Avspot is to bring useful information together in one place, making it easier for spotters to discover locations, plan visits and keep track of their aviation experiences.
A major part of Avspot is the knowledge shared by aircraft spotters themselves. Local information can make a huge difference when visiting an unfamiliar airport or spotting location, particularly when it comes to access, parking, fences, viewpoints and changing conditions.
Avspot allows members of the community to contribute information, photographs and suggestions that can help improve the platform for everyone.
Community submissions can include airports, spotting locations, Low Flying Areas, descriptions, aircraft information and photographs. Suggested edits can also be submitted to help keep existing information accurate and up to date.
Avspot offers optional accounts that provide access to additional features and allow users to contribute to the platform.
Registered users can manage their account, create Plane Logs, submit new information, suggest edits and use other account-based features as Avspot develops.
Plane Logs allow spotters to keep track of the aircraft they have seen and record their own spotting experiences.

Avspot Plus is an optional upgrade that provides access to additional features on the platform.
